Course Information

ITIL 4 is the acronym for Information Technology Infrastructure Library comprising a set of best practices for managing IT services. It offers a practical framework that focuses on the identification, planning, delivery, and support of IT services to the core business functions of an organization. Implementing ITIL leads to greater visibility of IT costs, better asset utilization, reduced costs, and higher customer satisfaction.

ITIL 4 enables you to understand a modern way to look at IT Service Management through as an example, the ITIL Service Value System (SVS). ITIL 4 offers an evolved view of a Service Value System (SVS) and provides a holistic end-to-end view of what it means to contribute to business value. It also integrates concepts from methods such as Organisational Change Management (OCM), Agile and DevOps.

This ITIL 4 Foundation Course is fully accredited with Axelos and Peoplecert. It is the entry level qualification and is therefore designed as an introduction to ITIL 4.

ITIL 4 Foundation introduces an end-to-end operating model for the creation, delivery and continual improvement of technology-enabled products and services. It is ideal for anyone who needs to understand the key concepts of IT and digital service delivery, and who is interested in helping their organization embrace the new service management culture. It is for professionals at the start of their ITIL 4 journey or people looking to update their existing ITIL knowledge.

 

Our course is delivered in accordance with an accredited course syllabus and certification process. It combines tutorials, examination advice & guidance, certified mock examinations and supplementary handouts.

  • Individuals who require a basic understanding of the ITIL 4 framework and how it may be used to enhance the quality of IT service management within an organization.
  • Anyone working in IT looking for IT Service Management education and an understanding of how to provide business value.
  • Individuals seeking progress toward further ITIL 4 qualifications in IT Service Management for which the ITIL 4 Foundation is a prerequisite.

Although there are no pre-requisites for the ITIL 4 Foundation course or for the examination, it is recommended that exam candidates complete an accredited training course before attempting the examination.

It is important that any interested parties to be aware that all ITIL training courses are always and only offered together with the respective exam which is included in the training price. 

Delegates will be issued with course workbooks, in-course hand-outs and other relevant material.

There are no specific pre-reading requirements.

The qualification is based on a 1-hour closed-book examination of 40 multiple choice questions. The pass mark required to certify is 26/40 (65%).  Successful delegates will be awarded the ITIL 4 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.

It is important that any interested parties to be aware that all ITIL training courses are always and only offered together with the respective exam which is included in the training price.
